The Young and the Restless recap (YR) for Monday, June 18 features Nick doing the exact opposite of what everybody told him to, Summer and Kyle forced to work together, and Jack finding a clue to his parentage.

The Worst Thing You Could Do Is….
Brittany (Lauren Woodlawn) warned Nick (Joshua Morrow) that his ongoing relationship with Sharon (Sharon Case) could cost him custody of Christian.

Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Sharon discussed how terrible Victor (Eric Braeden) is and how he made it seem like Sharon’s presence in Nick’s life must cost Nick custody of Christian.

Victoria and Brittany talked about JT’s disappearance – and how Nick being with Sharon might cost him custody of Christian.

So, Nick asked Sharon to marry him.

Odd Bed Fellows
Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Summer (Hunter King) sparred outside of Billy’s (Jason Thompson) office while, inside, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) convinced Billy to put Summer in charge of a Fenmore-Jabot marketing project.

Billy had an even better idea! Summer can work on it with Kyle! Billy warned Summer not to cross any boundaries when it comes to the two of them.

Jack In the Box
Jack (Peter Bergman) figured out that the key he took from Dina (Marla Adams) belonged to a bank’s safety deposit box.

How he figured out which bank and which box… that happened off-screen. Jack and Kyle got the bank manager to open it for them… again, convincing him off-screen.

They found a photo of Phillip Chancellor, Dina, Katherine, and John. That’s it, Jack instantly decided! Phillip must be his father! It couldn’t be that this photo was just left in the otherwise empty box by mistake!

So, now to the list of Dina’s crimes – horrible wife, horrible mother – we can add, had an affair with the husband of her “good friend,” Katherine (Jeanne Cooper).

And the Chancellor, Foster, Abbot family tree just got a lot more complicated… Especially when you add in Jill (Jess Walton).

The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
