The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Thursday, December 28 features the countdown to midnight in Genoa City–and a whole lot happened.
Should Be Forgot
Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) business arrangement vow renewal tooks a turn for the romantic – to the surprise of absolutely no one, save the (un)happy couple.
Victor pronounced he was only poor when he didn’t have Nikki by his side. Nikki countered that theirs is finally a marriage of equals. Both think they have the other right where they want them. The shocking part is, they may be right.
Later, Nick (Joshua Morrow) got a shock of his own, when he walked in on Scott (Daniel Hall) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) sharing a New Year’s kiss.
And Never Brought To Mind
Jill (Jess Walton) and Esther (Kate Linder) also thought they’re being deviously clever when they invited Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Lily (Christel Khalil) to a New Year’s Eve party… but neglected to mention they’ll be the only guests.
The two buttinskys were disappointed when the estranged couple only hugged – but avoided the kiss – at midnight.
Meanwhile, Hilary, (Mishael Morgan) whom Jill bullied out of accepting Cane’s New Year’s invitation, cozied up to Devon (Bryton James) and raved about baby Sam – while swearing that her own biological clock isn’t ticking. She waited for Devon to make a move, but he also avoided the midnight kiss, and only wished her a happy holiday.
Daddy’s Home
Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) insisted he doesn’t have a drinking problem, but J.T. (Thad Luckinball) decided to stay in town anyway, to support his son. And stay close to Victoria (Amelia Heinle)?
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
