The Young and the Restless Recap: Jack’s Nightmare Scares Him Straight!

The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Monday, May 21 features things not going the way anyone expects, as Ashley and Billy’s frantic dash to the Abbott cabin doesn’t go well, Nick reduces Sharon to tears, and Devon steps in to help Hilary and Shauna.

Just Say No
Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Billy (Jason Thompson) berated Neil (Kristoff St. John) for leaving Jack (Peter Bergman) alone at the cabin…with a bottle of pills. Neil said you can’t make an addict quit if he doesn’t want to, so Ashley and Billy brushed Neil aside and rushed to rescue their brother.

Meanwhile, Jack woke up from a nightmare where Dina (Marla Adams) identified Jack’s biological father as…Victor (Eric Braeden). Obviously, Jack’s subconscious can’t do math. But it can spell!

Ashley and Billy find the word “No” spelled out with Jack’s pills, and Jack gone.

They run into him back at home, where Jack acts as if everything is fine, and says he’ll see them at work tomorrow. He’s awfully peppy. Like maybe a guy back on pills?

Reunited and It Feels So… Familiar?
Mariah (Camryn Grimes) wasn’t thrilled to hear that Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) are back together, but Sharon burst into tears of joy when Nick said he wants Sharon to be Christian’s mother–which is kind of where this whole story started, isn’t it?

Plug a Hole
Hilary (Mishael Morgan) was running around, frantically trying to schedule a guest for the next day’s show, when Devon (Bryton James) decided to take matters into his own hands.

He fix the situation not just for Hilary, but also for her protegee, Shauna, who has just been turned down for the prom. Could this solution include Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry)? Lily (Christel Khalil) will be just thrilled!
