The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Tuesday, April 3 features a new generation taking over as Victor clings to life.
What New with the Newmans?
An unconscious Victor (Eric Braeden) watched Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) worry over him as the doctors admitted Victor is suffering from sepsis.
Nikki visited Jack (Peter Bergman) in jail, and he swore he didn’t push her husband. Later, Jack begged Ashley (Eileen Davidson) to keep Kyle (Michael Mealor) from taking over at Jabot. He’s certain his son is plotting something with Victor.
At the same time, Kyle was reconnecting with Mariah (Camryn Grimes)… and making himself comfy behind Daddy’s desk.
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) told JT (Thad Luckinbill) she wants to postpone their marriage. JT blamed Mac (Kelley Kruger), and Victoria admits some of the things Mac accused JT of sounded familiar.
JT confronted his ex, who urged him to work on the relationship with Victoria so that the same thing that broke them up, doesn’t happen again. Victoria took it a step further and insists they see a counselor.
Sex and the Single Anchor
Hilary (Mishael Morgan) flaunted sleeping with Devon (Bryton James) to Lily (Christel Khalil) – though Devon reminded Hilary it was just a one-time thing – for the imaginary baby’s sake.
When Lily saw Simone drop by looking for Devon, she took advantage of an opportunity for yet another brilliant plan to keep her brother from his ex (because the last one worked super-well).
Lily suggested Simone come work at Hamilton-Winters as a model and a singer and an influencer and… well, anything that throws her in Devon’s path.
Simone was excited and Devon was agreeable. Hilary thought Lily is pathetic, but she’s too busy scheduling a pregnancy test at her doctor’s office. Yes. Less than 24 hours after she and Devon had sex.
