The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Friday, July 27th features the end of Hilary in Genoa City (quick, does she have a twin?), Nikki getting stuck in the middle of a family feud (what else is new), Nick and Billy coming to blows, and Mariah making a decision about Tessa.
Last Rites
Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and Devon (Bryton James) recalled their good times (and their bad ones) and made long-range plans for the future.
Hilary admitted she knows she’s dying. Hilary asked Devon to look out for Shauna (Camryn Hamm), cuddled up with her husband, and took her last breath.
All Hands On Deck
Nick (Joshua Morrow) was having a business meeting with Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Jack (Peter Bergman) at the hotel when Victor (Eric Braeden) arrived for a meeting with Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). Do these people not have offices for this sort of thing?
Victor asked Nikki to join Newman Enterprises. She asked him if it’s so she can do battle with her own son and swore she is not taking her family to war.
War Games
Billy (Jason Thompson) had no such reservations. Jack blasted his little brother for not being there for Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) at Hilary and Devon’s wedding.
Phyllis accused him of trying to push her out at Jabot. Finally, Nick (Joshua Morrow) chimed in about Billy’s gambling, and the effect it’s having on Summer (Hunter King).
The two men came to blows. Everyone else just watched.
Movin’ On Out
Mariah (Camryn Grimes) got into Tessa’s (Cait Fairbanks) car… only to tell her she’s not coming. Her life and family are in Genoa City.
Mariah swore she’ll find Tessa and they’ll be together eventually, but Tessa urged Mariah to move on. So… there was a promising story that went absolutely nowhere.
