The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Thursday, October 19 features series of near-misses, as Billy almost came clean to Phyllis, Victor almost treated his children with respect, Victoria almost figured out Hilary’s game, and the Abbott siblings almost freed their mother from Graham’s clutches.
The Wheels On the Chair Go Round and Round
Hospital security is clearly weak in Genoa City. Alice (Tamara Claterbuck), who disappeared from her bed, is still missing. But, at least, Jack (Peter Bergman), Ashley (Eileen Davidson), and Traci (Beth Maitland) figured out what happened to Dina (Marla Adams) quickly enough.
She was medically cleared and left with Graham (Max Shippee). The kids took off in hot pursuit, and eventually ended up at the airport — where Graham was wheeling their practically catatonic mama onto a plane.
Nah, Never Mind
Billy (Jason Thompson) sure looked ready to come clean to Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) about how he betrayed her — professionally. Phyllis sure looked like she was ready to hear it from him.
But Billy chickened out, and instead talked about how happy he is he chose Phyllis over the Abbotts, and how he always will. Phyllis noticed he didn’t put Victoria on that list.
Later, Phyllis sparred with Nick (Joshua Morrow) about him giving away their daughter’s money… and about how Billy isn’t good enough for Nick’s ex-wife… or his sister.
Help a Father Out
Billy and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) have their hands full with Brash & Sassy, and into that mess comes Victor (Eric Braeden). He’s decided he wants Victoria to worship him again, and he expects Billy to help Victor make that happen.
Meanwhile, Victoria railed against Hilary (Mishael Morgan). But when the host of The Hilary Hour apologized, Victoria agreed to appear on her show again.
The Newmans never learn from any of their mistakes, do they?
