The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Monday, January 8 features Dina – and Graham – doing for Jack and Ashley what no one else could, Lily breaking Cane’s heart – temporarily, and a variety of kids breaking bad news to their respective parents.
Mommie Dearest
When Graham (Max Shippee) arrived to stake his claim to Dina (Marla Adams), Traci (Beth Maitland) called Paul (Doug Davidson) to protect and serve the Abbott family’s whims. However, Dina was happy to go with Graham, leaving the Abbott siblings with no other options but to yell at Michael (Christian J. LeBlanc) to fix it!
Later, Dina turned on Graham, prompting Victoria and J.T. to interfere. Meanwhile, Traci convinced Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Jack (Peter Bergman) to stop fighting each other over Jabot, so they can present a united front against Graham.

Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Lily (Christel Khalil) agreed that they still love each other, but Lily wanted to take it slow. And by slow, she means glacial. Because Lily is headed for France with Abby. She’ll see Cane when she gets back. Can Cane babysit the kids while she’s gone?
What’s the Matter With Kids Today?
J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) prepared themselves for Reed’s (Tristan Lake Leabu) drunk driving court date. This was on top of J.T. getting served with divorce papers.

Abby (Melissa Ordway) confessed to Ashley that she slept with Scott, and now she doesn’t want to work with him anymore.
Scott (Daniel Hall) told Lauren (Tracey Bregman) that he slept with Abby, and now can Lauren loan him three million dollars so he can buy Hashtag and not have to work with Abby anymore?
Lauren and Ashley told their kids they clearly have feelings for each other. Abby and Scott stubbornly denied it. They’re totally not interested in a relationship. Or in working together.
