The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Wednesday, January 24 features a day of thrusts and parries, as Jack and Ashley snipe at each other – under oath this time.
I Always Loved Mom More!
Jack (Peter Bergman) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) went into arbitration over the future of Jabot.
Instead of talking about who would be the better CEO of a Fortune 500 perfume company, the argument dissolved into a back and forth about who loves Dina (Marla Adams) more (Jack), who has never forgiven her for abandoning them (Ashley), and who wants to put her in a home (neither one, allegedly).
Why is this relevant? Why is the judge allowing it? And why does listening to this case of sibling rivalry on steroids enough for the Judge to announce she’s ready to make a decision?
Fair Trade
Devon (Bryton James) caught Hilary (Mishael Morgan) shopping for sperm donors, and offered the opinion that a child needs a strong father figure in its life. Devon didn’t for many years, and he felt the lack. Hilary reminded that she didn’t ask for his opinion.
Devon conceded her point, and offered to buy her company, instead. Hilary promised to think about it. Maybe she’s open to a fair trade?
Smells Like Teen Spirit
Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) got angry when Nick (Joshua Morrow) accidentally broke a bottle of her favorite perfume, then admitted to Sharon (Sharon Case) it’s because the scent was a gift from Adam. She still misses Conner’s dad, and she doesn’t know what to do with those feelings, no matter how much she loves Nick now.
Later, Nick offers Chelsea a replacement bottle. So… everything good now?
