The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Friday, April 13 features a most unlucky day for more than one person. There’s a murder afoot! But, in the end, the victim may be better off than those who try to cover up the crime!

Having been dumped – seemingly for the last time – by Victoria (Amelia Heinle), JT (Thad Luckinbill) vented to Cane (Daniel Goddard), who urged JT to fight for the woman he loves, no matter what.
Cane did that with Lily (Christel Khalil), and now they’re happily remarried for… which time is it?
JT took Cane’s advice, but does warn that Cane may hear some bad things about JT in the future. He shouldn’t believe it. Cane looked confused.

Victoria’s confession that she allowed JT to abuse her, not just verbally, but physically, as well, prompted Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Sharon (Sharon Case) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) to shower Victoria with praise and tell her how wonderful she is.
Funny, the latter pair never thought so before. Interesting message to send.
However, Nikki was probably the most delusional when, after Victoria pleaded with her mom not to tell Victor about it, Nikki said Victoria’s dad would be proud of her for being a strong woman.

Victoria held her ground, and was rewarded by more taunting from JT, which made her realize he’s the one who pushed Victor and tried to kill him in the hospital.
JT attempted to make it sound like it was mostly to avenge Colleen, rather than save his own hide.
The couple began to struggle, and the remaining women rushed in. Nikki grabbed a fireplace poker, and smacks JT over the head. He collapsed to the ground. Now what?
