The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Wednesday, March 7 finds a lot of fed up people, as Lily, Ashley, and even JT had enough of Victoria’s managerial style, Devon didn’t want to hear Cane bad-mouthing Hilary, and Billy worried that Phyllis has gone too far.
Safe Space at Newman!
Victoria (Amelia Heinle) taunted Ashley (Eileen Davidson) about the file JT (Thad Luckinbill) found, which Ashley is certain Victoria planted.
Then, Victoria told Lily (Christel Khalil) that she can’t have a previously approved half-day off, which left Cane (Daniel Goddard) alone to deal with Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry), who announced he won’t be going to college. He wants to be a music producer!
Later, Victoria called an all-hands on deck meeting, where she explained what a good boss she is, and opened the floor to suggestions.
Ashley spoke up and suggested that Victoria is a terrible boss, who mistreats her employees (especially Abby). Lily agreed, and Victoria fired back that Lily’s performance is below company standards. Fed up, Lily resigned.
Victoria asked JT why he didn’t defend her more at the meeting. JT said it was her forum and she handled it badly.
Another Look
Devon (Bryton James) first defended Hilary (Mishael Morgan) to Cane, then sang her praises to Shauna, the teen that Hilary mentors. Hilary was more convinced than ever that Devon is the man she needs for her baby daddy. Though she swore to Phyllis it’s nothing personal.
Listen Up
Billy (Jason Thompson) was worried about Phyllis (Gina Tognoni), especially about how obsessed she seemed to be with Nick (Joshua Morrow), Christian, and their current living arrangement at Sharon’s. He thought she might go too far, and begged her to listen and evaluate a situation before diving in head first. Phyllis insisted, “I gotta be me!”
