The Young and the Restless (YR) fans first met Tessa when Nikki spotted her singing outside the coffeehouse, and instantly hired Tessa as Reed’s (Tristan Lake LeBeau) new music teacher.

(References, what’s that? Experience and making sure they’re not an axe-murderer is so last century.)

Next thing we knew, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) had promoted Tessa to her personal assistant, moved her into the Newman Ranch, and smiled happily when it looked like Tessa and Noah (Robert Adams) were growing closer.

Yup, the same Nikki who killed her father when he tried to rape her, fell victim to a cult, picked up a venereal disease from Paul (Doug Davidson), stripped for a living, and has been married to Victor (Eric Braeden) on and off for over three decades now.

You’d think she’d be a little less… gullible.

There’s got to be more to Tessa than meets the eye, especially in light of her phone calls, talking about the “rich lady” she’s working for. Is Tessa hiding a secret? Almost 9,000 viewers had this to say.

She’d Better Be!
It’s not that 96% of you know what Tessa’s (Cait Fairbanks) secret is, exactly, you’re just fervently hoping that it’s something good. Is she planning to take Mrs. Newman’s money?

Is she a long-lost relation (why else would she be so vague about her family)? Or is Nikki merely someone Tessa is using to get to her real target?

On the Fence
Of course, at this point, it could go either way, hedge 3% of the audience. Tessa does seem a bit too good to be true, but it’s not clear that she’s necessarily bad, either.

She could have a perfectly good reason for keeping perfectly innocent secrets — that are nobody else’s business.

Suspicious Minds
Nikki isn’t the only gullible one, as a tiny 1% are taking Tessa at face value. But you don’t see yourselves as gullible.

You see yourselves as trusting. You’re willing to give Tessa a chance, and aren’t about to start thinking negatively until you’re given more evidence.
