Soap opera legend Tristan Rogers is set to make his daytime comeback Aug. 24 on The Young and the Restless in the role of Jill’s husband Colin Atkinson.
According to Soap Opera Digest, the actor couldn’t wait to spill the details about his return to Genoa City.
He’s Back and Loving It!
The actor posted on his official Twitter how happy he was to be back on The Young and the Restless.

“I like that Colin has that twinkle on his eye, but he’s always looking for that main chance,” the actor explained in the interview.
“His wife is really a similar individual, but she tends to hide it. He’s right out there,” Rogers remarked.
Tristan Is A Soap Legend
He originally appeared on General Hospital from December 1980 until February 1992. The actor portrayed one of the most popular characters in General Hospital’s history, the suave Robert Scorpio.
The popularity of the character came as a result of his involvement with supercouple Luke and Laura (Tony Geary and Genie Francis), whose 1981 wedding drew over 30 million viewers. Luke and Laura’s wedding remains the highest-rated event in soap opera history.
Rogers left the show and his character behind in 1992 when Scorpio was killed and his body was never found.
The character and the actor returned to the series in 1995 as a spirit to help his daughter Robin (Kimberly McCullough) as she dealt with the loss of her boyfriend to an AIDS-related illness.

Rogers, 68, began playing Colin Atkinson on Y&R in 2010.
On Sept. 1, the CBS series will celebrate its 11,0000th episode.
