The Young and the Restless spoilers (YR) for Monday, January 22 promise critical decision time, as Jack and Ashley are forced to deal with the Dina situation, and Mariah has to decide how far she will go to prove she’s the injured party.
So What Happens Now?
Jack (Peter Bergman) and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) thought the most difficult decision they’d be facing this week is arbitration regarding which one of them should be the CEO of Jabot. And they are still on track to get that done.
But first, they have to figure out what to do about their mother, the murderess. Sure, Dina (Marla Adams) is in the throes of Alzheimer’s Disease.
And, double sure, she stabbed Graham (Max Shippee) with the poisoned syringe he intended to use on her. So it was obviously self-defense.
But how is a woman who just confessed to murder… of an old lover who has been dead for years, supposed to prove that?
Her testimony is more or less useless. And the authorities might believe she is a danger to others.
They might want to lock her up in a secure facility to make sure nothing like this ever happens again, in exchange for not pressing charges.

Devon (Bryton James) confronts Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) about Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes) claims that Tessa stole the lyrics to her new song from Mariah’s journal. Tessa denies everything, which leads Devon and Noah (Robert Adamson) to ask for proof.
Mariah could do it easily by producing her journal, but that would mean exposing her private feelings about Tessa to the world.
And for an introvert like Mariah, that’s a fate worse than death. But would she rather be branded a liar?
