The Young and the Restless spoilers (YR) for Friday, August 18 explode as Hilary reports another of her famous exclusive exposés, which affects Victoria and Cane, while Phyllis realizes Jack is out to get Billy — by using her.

Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) is cool about scheming with Jack when it comes to generic issues. But she draws the line at Jack trying to bring down Billy (Jason Thompson).
Phyllis knows that Jack is still mad about Phyllis and Billy’s affair — especially now that they’ve moved in together. Phyllis knows that Jack doesn’t forgive and forget.
Phyllis knows that Jack (Peter Bergman) isn’t above using underhanded tactics to get the results he wants. And yet it never crossed her mind that their behind-the-scenes deals might eventually lead to screwing over Billy?
Phyllis seems to be engaging in some magical thinking. That’s about to go “poof” in her face.

Hilary (Mishael Morgan) and her handy camera managed to record Victoria (Amelia Heinle) screaming about what a mistake she made, sleeping with Benjamin Hochman (Ben Hermes).
Guess in a small town like Genoa City, that’s what passes for hot business and/or celebrity news. Hilary makes a beeline straight to the studio, where she promises a hot scoop coming up on The Hilary Hour (guess Newman meltdown footage is a ratings bonanza).

And Victoria herself gets a text from an oh so helpful Cane, telling her and Billy to turn on Hilary’s show — pronto.
Now comes the inevitable question — who cares?
So the head of Brash & Sassy slept with a random guy who likes to invest in companies? And the guy thinks her company is in trouble? So what? How does this hurt anyone?
Do people not buy makeup from women of perceived low morals?
Not judging by the current crop of spokesmodels…
