Christian’s medical crisis on The Young and the Restless gives Dylan and Sharon new hope in their quest for visitation with the little boy they raised as their own for a year.
Unfortunately for Nick, during the year he missed out on with Christian, he not only missed all the firsts, but also important health information about his son. According to the December 12 issue of Soap Opera Digest, Christian suffers a major reaction after eating a strawberry, landing him in the hospital.
Restraining Order Violation?
Joshua Morrow told SOD that upon hearing about Christian’s allergic reaction, Dylan and Sharon rush to his side at the hospital against Nick’s wishes. However, Nick also feels incredibly guilty for not getting Christian’s health details from Sharon and Dylan in the first place.
For a brief moment, Faith persuades her dad to allow Dylan and Sharon (Sharon Case) to visit Christian in the hospital, and all seems well with the world. However, that small moment of peace shatters in a moment.

Unfortunately, Nick sees the GC Buzz interview Dylan (Steve Burton) did, and he gets upset all over again. Morrow said Nick “was hoping that everyone would be mellow about the situation. Nick wanted to address this with the media and with the world at his own pace.”
The Verdict Is. . .
Ultimately, the McAvoys could use the baby’s allergic reaction against Nick in court. Even though he is upset about not knowing everything he needed to know about Christian, he’s very afraid that his son’s hospitalization will cause him to lose the little boy all over again.
With Nick feeling pure terror, the judge renders his verdict. What will it be? Who will ultimately have custody of Christian in the end?
