Should Scott Tell Lauren His Secret on The Young and the Restless?

Earlier, we speculated about what Scott is really hiding on The Young and the Restless. Should be tell all, or continue brooding in sexy silence? Almost 4,000 viewers offered their advice.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, there’s something about a tortured, broken hero that makes women swoon and want to kiss his boo-boos to make them all better.

Think Heathcliffe from Wuthering Heights, all those sad Twilight vampires, romance novels galore, and even Genoa City’s own Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) who, whenever people have the temerity to suggest that he might have done a bad thing, never hesitates to play the, “My daddy didn’t love me and my mommy abandoned me to an orphanage and I grew up poor, waaaaah!” card.

Scott Grainger (Daniel Hall) had a pretty messed up childhood, too, but odds are it’s his most recent exploits that are currently driving him into a funk.

What exactly happened to him in the Middle East, 90% of you want to know. And since he’s obviously not going to tell you directly, spilling to Mom Lauren is the next best thing.

You know what, counter 6% of fans, some thing are just none of a mother’s business. Sure, Lauren (Tracey Bregman) wants to know, and you may want to know, but if Scott doesn’t want anyone to know, maybe we should respect that?

The guy could be suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Or maybe he doesn’t believe in living his life on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat. So leave him alone!

Nothing To See Here!
Here’s a radical idea for a soap-opera character, suggest 3% of the audience — maybe Scott isn’t actually hiding anything! Maybe he’s just sleepy — being held hostage doesn’t exactly lend itself to getting the daily recommended eight hours of rest.

Or maybe he’s malnourished. Or maybe he’s just a naturally taciturn guy who subscribes to the motto of, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”
