Y&R’s Scott Grainger Recast and Returning to Genoa City!

Fans of Lauren’s oldest son, Scott Grainger, will love hearing this new The Young and the Restless casting news!

Although Scott (then Blair Redford) was last seen in Genoa City in 2006, he’s returning shortly. According to Soap Opera Digest, handsome actor Daniel Hall will portray Lauren’s (Tracey Bregman) sometimes forgotten eldest son.

Fans might recognize Hall as Jack from Guiding Light. Hall also appeared on Mad Men, Graceland, and Quarry.

Even though Hall already began filming scenes for the show, so far, there are no details on how he’ll arrive in Genoa City or what his storyline will be. The character has been living in Toronto.

Scott was born on the show back in 1991. Even though his father, Scott Grainger senior, has passed away, he has plenty of relatives. Christine (Lauralee Bell) is his half-sister and therefore Scott Jr.’s aunt. Jill (Jess Walton) is his aunt as well, being Lauren’s half-sister, and therefore Billy (Jason Thompson) is his cousin.
