Reed’s gone from surly to smiling on The Young and the Restless (YR) ever since Nikki hooked him up with free-spirit musician, Tessa.

Since arriving in Genoa City, the teen had been nothing but trouble for his frustrated mom, Victoria (Amelia Heinle). Reed disobeyed all her rules, used her credit card to check out internet porn and was downright belligerent at times.

But since Victoria took an interest in her son’s musical aspirations and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) found her grandson a hip music teacher, he’s been a lot less hostile and a lot more receptive to getting along.

Soap Hub questioned fans about the shift in Reed; specifically, do you think the teen is finally on the right track?

Yes, He’s Changed
Of the over 10,000 fans that responded, 55% of you believe young Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) has turned a corner and is on the right track.

Now that the teenager has people taking his musical aspirations seriously and actually helping him pursue them, he seems happier and more positive. You’re betting he gets his act and his life together, and that includes both at school and at home.

No, He’s Still Trouble
While Reed’s been sporting more grins than frowns, of late, 45% of fans aren’t convinced he’s en route to becoming a model teen quite yet.

He still has a way to go in your book. Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) certainly appears to be a good influence on him, but you want to wait a while before you dub him a changed young man. The verdict is still out.
