The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, June 22 highlights several Genoa City power players who fell into old habits resulting in new secrets and heated confrontations. It was another can’t-miss episode!
After a night of wild partying and gambling, Billy (Jason Thompson) and Summer (Hunter King) decided to keep their shenanigans from Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and clean up the evidence.
While Billy felt horrible about lying to Phyllis after vowing to stop gambling, the thrill of the game continued to invade his mind – and Summer’s insistence they continue their games did not help him.
Even after he told her about his gambling addiction and the impact it had on his life, Summer seemed indifferent. She feigned concern and promised to keep their secret, but still wanted to keep their games going.
Curious as to why Summer was suddenly into poker, Billy asked where she picked it up. She recounted the story of how she became a card shark. A surprised Billy wondered if Summer was headed down the same path of addiction he was struggling to escape.
Elsewhere, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) worked overtime at Newman and sifted through piles of paperwork hoping to find a lead, but her efforts ended when Victor (Eric Braeden) put his foot down and named JT (Thad Luckinbill) as the culprit.
Citing Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Abby’s (Melissa Ordway-Gaston) reasons, the powerhouse player believed Vicky’s ex was behind the attack. However, Victoria fought back and convinced her father to shift his focus from JT to other potential…continue reading on the next page —>
Citing Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Abby’s (Melissa Ordway-Gaston) reasons, the powerhouse player believed Vicky’s ex was behind the attack. However, Victoria fought back and convinced her father to shift his focus from JT to other potential criminals.
A short time later, Vicky was shocked to see Mac at her office. JT’s ex was back and she had more information about his whereabouts. Apparently, there was recent activity on his cards that led Mac to believe he was alive and on his way back to Genoa City for Vicky.
Mac declared she would stay in town until JT was found! Vicky was horrified by news of Mac’s residency and JT’s card activities and knew she needed to warn the other women.
At home, Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) contemplated their situation. They want to get married, but everyone they know has major doubts about their union.
However, when Mariah dropped by, she changed their minds. She flatly stated she knew about their engagement, they didn’t have to fret about it, she completely supported them.
Nick and Sharon crumbled at her heartfelt words. Mariah’s warm reception toward their life change encouraged the couple to move forward with the party.
Sometime later, the party was in full swing. Victoria gathered the women to alert them about JT’s latest activities. Someone must have stolen his cards because they’re sure he died that day.
However, before the women can discuss their situation more, Victor crashed the party. The bold Newman claimed he was there to support the family, but Nick knew his father was there to rub salt on his wounds.
The partygoers witnessed the father and son fling insults and threats at each other. Needless to say, Sharon and Nick’s party went south quick.
Tune in Friday to see what happened to Sharon and the rest of our fan faves in GC! The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listing for air times.
