The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, October 8 features the vote over who will be the new CEO of Jabot.
Plus, Nick vowed never to give up on Sharon, while Summer decided to do the same with Billy.
The Vote Is In!
Ashley (Eileen Davidson), Traci (Beth Maitland), and Lauren (Tracey Bregman) gathered an emergency board meeting to get rid of the Blood Abbott clause.
With that out of the way, it was time vote on a new CEO. Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) insisted they should wait for Billy (Jason Thompson) to get out of rehab. Nah… Ashley won’t be doing that.
Kyle (Michael Mealor) suggested Jack (Peter Bergman) throw his hat back into the ring. He’ll be his COO, and they’re run Jabot together. Family bonding! Nice suits!
Abby (Melissa Ordway) nominated her mom, Kyle nominated his dad, and there was a vote. Three to two in favor of Ashley. Traci abstained. But Jack pointed out that’s the same as voting for Ashley. Jack told his sister to take the chair— she’s earned it.
Work Husband
Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) was surprised to see Sharon (Sharon Case) at work, and she filled him in on the called-off wedding to Nick (Joshua Morrow). Nick arrived shortly and told her he won’t be giving up on her. Sharon blows him off.
Later, Sharon caught Nick chatting with Phyllis at the club and yelled at them some more. She also called Phyllis a few choice names.
Summer’s End
Summer (Hunter King) woke up to find Billy gone. She called Phyllis, who blames her daughter for telling Sharon about her slip with Nick. Summer blamed Kyle. Kyle said that actually, Mariah (Camryn Grimes) overheard Summer talking about it. Summer kept leaving messages for Billy.
Meanwhile, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) received an “I know what you did” anonymous note.
