The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, March 8 features quite the International Women’s Day moment, as Victoria took the stand and described JT’s abuse, while Christine questioned her right to play judge, jury and executioner.
Also, Billy and Nick decided to fix the problem for the girls. At the same time, Mia hammered Rey about Sharon – until he finally told her what she wanted to hear.
It Happens Every Day
Michael (Christian J. LeBlanc) talked Victoria (Amelia Heinle) through her experiences with JT (Thad Luckinbill), showing the video of him attacking her. Victoria swore that she feared for her life and, if Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) hadn’t stopped JT, Victoria would be dead.
Christine (Lauralee Bell) pointed out that even after the events of the video, Victoria still agreed to marry JT.
Even if everything she said is true, letting Victoria, Nikki, and Sharon got off scot-free suggests everyone has the right to take the law into their own hands.
The prosecution and the defense rest. It’s up to the actual jury now.
Men’s Business
Nick (Eric Braeden) called Victor (Eric Braeden) at home to fill him in. Maybe Victor shouldn’t have lost his cool on Day One and the judge wouldn’t have kicked him out of court for the duration of the trial.
Billy (Jason Thompson) and Nick discuss how JT might still be alive. They’re going to go find him!
Wouldn’t It Be Lovely?
Mia (Noemi Gonzalez) kept pushing Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) until he admitted he’s in love with Sharon (Sharon Case).
Rey said they’re over. Not because of Sharon, but because Mia still loves Arturo (Jason Canela), and over what Mia did to Lola (Sasha Calle).
Rey said he’ll continue to protect Mia and the baby, but they can’t be together anymore. Rey walked out.
