The Young and the Restless Recap: Victor Is Off To Trial… but Not If Nikki Can Help It!

The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, February 8 features Victor admitting he might be a tad nervous about the trial as Nikki decided she couldn’t allow her beloved to suffer because of her, while Abby had a plan to present her dad in a better light.

Every single person in Genoa City was thinking about Victor (Eric Braeden). Even more than on a regular day. Sharon (Sharon Case) suggested that all the women come forward.

If she, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) backed up Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) tale of self-defense, she’ll get off, and so will Victor. As a bonus, it will deprive their blackmailer of having anything to blackmail them about.

Nick (Joshua Morrow) mulled it over, but decided it’s too big of a risk.

Abby (Melissa Ordway) thanked Arturo (Jason Canela) for being so supportive of her family’s troubles, then told him she has a great idea for changing the public narrative around Victor.

Abby wanted to make a big deal about their wedding, so the press coverage will focus on what a wonderful daddy Victor is. Arturo reluctantly went along, even agreeing to a splashy photo session.

Mia stopped by and offers her support, as well. Abby made a face. Mia then offered her some face cream. Abby was looking puffy.

Saving Victor
Victor expressed his concerns to Nick about maybe not being able to beat the charges and urged him to look after Newman Enterprises – and keep it away from Arturo. The guy is an operator.

Nikki fretted and stresses and, when Michael (Christian J. LeBlanc) arrived with Christine (Lauralee Bell) to escort Victor to his hearing, Nikki stepped up to announce there would be no trial today!
