The Young and the Restless Recap: Thanksgiving Invitations

The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, November 21 features the run-up to Thanksgiving, as Jack issued an invitation to Kerry, Devon and Nate bonded over missing loved ones, Phyllis answered Nick’s question, and Tessa used the holiday to her advantage.

Home For the Holidays
Jack (Peter Bergman) tried to rally the family for the holiday, but Billy’s (Jason Thompson) snarking over Jabot nipped that in the bud.

Later, Jack followed John’s tradition of giving wine to senior staff and invited Kerry (Alice Hunter) to Thanksgiving dinner. She first turned him down, then changed her mind and accepted.

At the same time, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) accepted Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) invitation to move in with him. Christian approved, then ran off. Nick and Phyllis didn’t worry about a toddler wandering a huge house all on his own as they hit the sheets.

Teddy Bear Picnic
Mariah (Camryn Grimes) told Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) that the flash drive has been destroyed. Tessa wanted to spend the holidays together, but Mariah begged off.

She went to see Victoria (Amelia Heinle), who assured Mariah that Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) doesn’t have any evidence to connect them to JT’s (Thad Luckinbill) murder.

Mariah came home to a teddy bear that Tessa claimed was a gift from Crystal – but it’s really where Tessa hid the blackmail money she promised to give away…and a backup flash drive.

Mourning Bros
Nate (Brooks Darnell) continued wandering around Genoa City, offering unsolicited advice. This time, he found a hungover Devon (Bryton James) in his after-party wrecked apartment.

Devon lamented once again about how much he misses Hilary (Mishael Morgan). Nate said he misses his dead fiancé Caroline.

The two bonded, then agreed to get together for football and turkey sandwiches while Cane (Daniel Goddard), Neil (Kristoff St. John), and the kids were visiting Lily (Christel Khalil).
