The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, February 5 features more Tessa whining and Mariah covering up for her, Summer urging Kyle to bear all, and Nick presenting new evidence to help clear Victor.
Blood Ties
Nick (Joshua Morrow) called Michael (Christian J. LeBlanc) over to the ranch – it’s nice to have a lawyer on retainer, isn’t it? – and showed him the spying equipment and other items.
Nick and Michael discussed the possibility of JT (Thad Luckinbill) still being alive, and Michael went to get the DNA on the new evidence tested. He obviously paid off half the labs in Genoa City to get a speedy turn-around, and told Nick the results are inconclusive.
When Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) heard Nick’s theory, she worried that a living JT would be a vengeful JT. She might have a point.
Photo Finish
Mariah (Camryn Grimes) urged Kyle (Michael Mealor) to stay away from Summer (Hunter King) if he wanted to preserve his relationship with Lola (Sasha Calle), and Kyle should not, under any circumstances, tell Summer that Lola is a virgin.
Summer, however, didn’t get the memo, and plopped herself down next to Kyle, flirting shamelessly and telling him she’s there for him if Kyle want’s to discuss any…frustrations with his relationship.
Meanwhile, Abby warned Lola to be on the alert for Summer’s tricks.
Hiring Freeze
Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) interviewed for a waitressing job at Lola and Abby’s (Melissa Ordway) restaurant. They asked why she stopped working at Crimson Light.
Tessa ran crying to Mariah that once Sharon (Sharon Case) gives her a bad recommendation, she won’t have any shot at the job.
Mariah didn’t think Tessa blackmailing her employer should be any reason for her not to get hired again, and so lies to Abby and Lola that Sharon fired Tessa because she didn’t want her dating Mariah. Which is technically true, we guess.
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
