The Young and the Restless Recap: Sharon Is Not Sure What To Say

The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, August 20 features Adam’s proposal to Sharon, Billy hating pretty much everyone, Theo making a professional move, and Victor doling some advice to Abby.

Marry the Man Today
Sharon (Sharon Case) was stunned by Adam’s (Mark Grossman) proposal. She reminded him that he’s a horrible person and, when she’s with him, she becomes a horrible person, too.

Adam wouldn’t take no for an answer. Sharon presumed that’s what Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) told him, which was why he’s proposing to her. Yet, Adam was right about one thing — Sharon can’t stay away from him…

Scorching the Earth
Billy (Jason Thompson) was so busy wallowing, he forgot to pick up Johnny. Later, he informed Ashley (Eileen Davidson) that he didn’t trust her, and said the same thing to Jack (Peter Bergman), before stomping off. Billy sparred with Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), but also managed to let her know that Chelsea had come into a ton of money. Phyllis was intrigued and calls to leave a message for Adam’s ex.

Daddy’s Deal
Victor (Eric Braeden) overheard and told Abby (Melissa Ordway) that Phyllis is gearing up to push Abby out of the Grand Pheonix Hotel. Abby insisted she can handle Phyllis. Abby seemed a wee bit naive about this, no?

Child’s Play
Devon (Bryton James) offered Theo (Tyler Johnson) a job with his record label, but Theo would rather have Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes) position. He actually had some experience in the field. Devon was unimpressed and told Theo to speak to Mariah about working for her.

Mariah was even more unamused and warned that she’d take over Theo’s clients instead of him taking over hers. Later, Theo waxed poetic to Summer (Hunter King) about the fun of blowing up other people’s lives, and they made out. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
