The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, October 16 features the bombshells continuing to drop as Jack filled Billy in on what he’s missed, Ashley defended herself to Traci and Abby, and Nikki made a solo decision about how to deal with the blackmailer.
What Did I Miss?
Like Thomas Jefferson in Hamilton, Billy (Jason Thompson) returns from rehab (not France) to find out that, while he went through the world’s fastest rehab, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) confessed to faking the test results that proved Jack (Peter Bergman) wasn’t an Abbott.
Billy paid some lip-service to what Jack went through before turning the conversation back to himself. Obviously, Billy falling off the gambling wagon was no longer his fault – it had to have been that terrible Ashley setting him up!
Kyle (Michael Mealor) admitted, well, not exactly. It was actually him. Billy lunged at his nephew, while Kyle said Billy would have slipped anyway, and Jack pulled them apart. It was time for a board meeting!
Ashley explained herself to Traci (Beth Maitland) and Abby (Melissa Ordway), but her sister and daughter refuse to see why Ashley wasn’t in the mood to take the high ground – again.
Traci apologized for not realizing that Ashley was hurting, but she was still displeased. They join the board meeting without Ashley, and then informed her that she is no longer CEO of Jabot.
Pay Out
Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), and Sharon (Sharon Case) debated whether or not to pay of her blackmailer.
Sharon pointed out that the truth always rears its ugly head – look at Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis’s (Gina Tognoni) affair. Finally, Nikki had enough and she made the payment. She paid one dollar to make it clear they’re not going to put up with this.
