The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, September 28 features Phyllis taking drastic measures – before she learns about the drastic measures Billy has taken.
Plus, both Sharon and Nick had a change of heart, just as Mariah learned a secret she didn’t want to know.
False Alarm
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) breathed a sigh of relief as Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) pulled the fire alarm and stopped Sharon (Sharon Case) from confessing to Nick (Joshua Morrow) about their role in JT’s (Thad Luckinbill) disappearance.
The women convinced Sharon to keep her secret, just as Phyllis was convincing Nick to do the same and not tell Sharon the two of them hooked up on her kitchen island. Nick agreed.
Later, Sharon offered Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) a room above the coffeehouse, after she confessed how much she doesn’t want to move into the house Nick bought them, and then she and Nick have yet another discussion about what a happy marriage they’re going to have.
The Pools Have Ears
Summer (Hunter King) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) discussed how Nick bought Summer’s silence regarding his fling with Phyllis and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) overheard. Once she realized it’s true, she lamented to Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) that she now has the power to torpedo her mom’s marriage.
In the Hole
Phyllis went to bail out a drunk Billy (Jason Thompson). He told her that matters are worse than Phyllis could possibly imagine. Turns out Billy is a much worse gambler than he thought, and he is now half a million dollars in debt. Phyllis worried that he borrowed it from a loan shark.
Oh, if only that were the case! Billy borrowed the money from Jabot. And by borrowed, he means… stole. (But we’re sure he still blames Jack and Ashley for making him do it.)
