The Young and the Restless Recap: Phyllis Plays All Her Cards

The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, April 12 features Phyllis scorching the Earth, using Summer, Kyle, Lola, Jack, Lauren…anyone she can get her hands on. Find out how it goes!

Act One
Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) came charging into the Abbott house, smoke blowing out both ears. She showed Jack (Peter Bergman) photos of Kyle (Michael Mealor) with Lola (Sasha Calle).

Jack wondered what she wants. Phyllis said she wanted him to sell Fenmore’s back to Lauren (Tracey Bregman)…and give Phyllis a big heap of money to run it.

Or else she and Summer (Hunter King) would rain hell down on the Abbott boys, and the company wouldn’t be able to withstand that kind of bad publicity. (In 2019? Does anyone even care?)

Act Two
Lola sniffled to Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) about still loving Kyle and not wanting to be a home wrecker. Rey, the man who has been repeatedly bamboozled by Mia (Noemi Gonzalez) offered relationship advice. Meanwhile, Kyle cuddled with his wife.

He tries to tell Summer about what almost happened with Lola, but couldn’t. After Jack told Kyle about Phyllis’ blackmail, Kyle tried again. Summer guessed but told Kyle it’s OK. She loves him enough that they can get over this. Kyle told Jack not to give into Phyllis.

Act Three
Lauren and Michael (Christian J. LeBlanc) were having a private evening out when Jack interrupted to fill Lauren in on what Phyllis had been up to. He offered his own plan for Jabot and Fenmore’s to both make money, and a thrilled Lauren hugged him.

Epilogue
A defeated Phyllis stared in the mirror, filled with self-loathing. And then we wondered how bad it’s going to get from here…
