The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, August 23 features a not-so-good-terrible-bad-day for Billy, as he gets bad news from Nick, is caught by Ashley, and experiences another come-on from Summer.
Making a List and Checking It Twice
After worming his way into a photo with Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) changed Phyllis’s (Gina Tognoni) tire and subtly pumped her for intel about Sharon (Sharon Case), and vice-versa. Later, he made notes on both women.
At the same time, Nikki worried that Victoria (Amelia Heinle) was too stressed out, keeping the secret about JT, while Victoria shrieked that JT will always be there, dead in the park, and so will her stress.
And, no, she doesn’t want to talk to Nate (Brooks Darnell) about her health, either.
Nick (Joshua Morrow) jacked up Billy’s (Jason Thompson) Jaboutique rents and dared him to waste more money fighting him on it. Billy observed that Nick is growing up to be just like Daddy.
He then went to Jack (Peter Bergman) for help, but Jack confesses he actually wanted Nick to cancel the leases outright. He called Billy a bad boss, but Billy pointed out it’s only because of Jack and his stupid blood Abbott clause. Ashley (Eileen Davidson) and Jack vowed to protect Jabot from Billy’s rotten management.
Later, Kyle (Michael Mealor) filled Ashley in on Billy’s embezzling money for Jaboat, but Ashley didn’t think that will be enough to bring him down.
Family Trouble
Summer (Hunter King) continued flirting with Billy, who kept telling her to quit it. Kyle filled Phyllis in on what her daughter was up to, and Phyllis found a ticket to Philadelphia in Summer’s purse. It’s ON.
