The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, August 27, 2019, features the Christian custody issue coming to an end. Plus, Mariah and Theo each thought they’re the smartest person in the room, and Kyle and Lola returned from their honeymoon.

End Of the Road
You would think with Adam (Mark Grossman) dropping his custody suite for Christian, Nick (Joshua Morrow) would automatically get his son back. Nope, the judge wasn’t happy with the arrangement and wouldn’t render a decision until he speaks to Adam.

Adam refused to come to the hearing, so it was up to Nick to make a heartfelt plea for his son. Which the judge then honoreds= because, hey, he can do whatever he wants, he’s the judge!

To cheer Adam up and assure him he did the right thing, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) brings Connor (Judah McCay) to visit his Daddy. Adam swore that he won’t let him sordid past hurt their child. Meanwhile, Billy (Jason Thompson), chewing the gum of evil intentions, watched the happy family ominously.

It’s Handled
Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Theo (Tyler Johnson) held a metaphorical pissing contest to see whether they can work together. After a couple of shots of tequila, Mariah told Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) she totes has the upper hand here. Theo told Summer (Hunter King) the same thing. Experienced businesspeople in action!

Kick the Can Down the Road
Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Lola (Sasha Calle) returned from their honeymoon to an apartment Kyle had redecorated in secret. You know what else Kyle is keeping secret? His New York past.

Summer advised Kyle to tell Lola everything about Theo and Zoe, whose life he saved from alcohol poisoning — that bum! Kyle says nah, he’d rather live in terror and lie to his wife. Good talk. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
