The Young and the Restless Recap: A New Mate For Nate?

The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, May 23 features Adam making a move as Paul questioned his version of events, while Traci had a dream come to life outside her computer, and Abby softened towards Nate.

The Pieces Don’t Fit
Jack (Peter Bergman) visited Adam (Mark Grossman) at the hospital and they wondered what Victor (Eric Braeden) had planned for his younger son.

Paul (Doug Davidson) came in next and told Adam a guy had confessed to shooting him. Adam looked at a photo and said, yup, that’s him — a poker rival. Paul thought it was all a little too convenient.

Nate (Sean Dominic) told Adam he was well enough to go home. (Bullets, they just don’t do the damage they used to, do they?) Adam stops by the house to tell Victor’s portrait he’s about to betray him. Then he makes a call to announce plans have changed – he’s staying in Genoa City.

Dream On
Dina (Marla Adams) interrupted Traci (Beth Maitland) writing her Cane (Daniel Goddard) fan fiction, confused about where she was.

Traci summoned Jack, who calmed their mom down, and they discussed putting her in a facility that can take better care of her. They agreed to call Ashley (Eileen Davidson) about the decision. Dina eavesdropped.

Cane stopped by to thank Traci for a pep talk she gave him earlier, and they took a walk in the garden, during which time Traci imagined kissing her daughter’s best friend’s husband. She rushed off, flustered.

New Directions
Abby (Melissa Ordway) was so busy ranting about her cheating ex-fiance (Jason Canela) leaving town with his pregnant sister-in-law (Noemi Gonzalez), she cut herself while cutting vegetables (isn’t that Lola’s job…or her assistant’s?). Nate stepped in and played doctor. Abby invited him to dinner…as friends.
