The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, May 29 features a couple of surprises at Neil’s will reading, Lauren worrying about what Phyllis has planned for Jack and the rest, Mariah rethinking her choices, and Cane looking to move on.
This Is Our Last Goodbye
Michael (Christian J. Le Blanc) read Neil’s (Kristoff St. John) will to the assembled. Neil must have updated it quite recently, as all the meaningful bequests are up to date. Neil told Cane (Daniel Goddard) he forgives him — then again, there have been a lot of things for Neil to forgive Cane for over the years.
Lily (Christel Khalil) got the bulk of his money and trust-funds for the twins. Nate (Sean Dominic) inherited the penthouse and a seat on the Hamilton-Winters board. Ana (Loren Lott) got Neil’s record collection, Jack got the whole foundation and Devon (Bryton James) got the business, with instructions to pay it forward – so he made Ana a partner.
Later, Devon listened to music and asked Elena (Brytni Sarpy) to dance, while Cane called Traci (Beth Maitland) and asks to meet.
Now You See Me
Did Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) really think she could ask Michael about shell-corporations and for that info not to get back to his wife? Lauren (Tracey Bregman) wanted to know what Phyllis was up to.
Nothing, Phyllis claimed innocently. However, Ashley (Eileen Davidson) gave Jack (Peter Bergman) a head’s up about a Chinese company that seems to be knocking off Jabot’s logo and products.
Jack feigned nonchalance in front of his sister, but then called Billy (Jason Thompson) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) for an emergency meeting – they’ve got a problem!
Open a New Window
Mariah (Camryn Grimes) told Sharon (Sharon Case) that her stalker – remember him, that was 10 seconds of the story — made her think about what she really wants to be when she grows up… and a gossip TV host isn’t it. Sharon encouraged her to find her passion.
Did it never occur to Mariah that she could use said gossip TV show to launch the career her girlfriend keeps self-destructing?
