The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, February 1 features an homage to The Twilight Zone (whether the show knows it or not).
The Newmans desperately searched for Katie, Lola and Kyle had the same conversation they always do, and Mia opened up to Phyllis about her relationships with Rey and Arturo.
Walls Within Walls
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Victor (Eric Braeden), and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) searched the house for Katie. Nick (Joshua Morrow) arrived and checks the security footage, which showed no one coming into or off the property. Nikki was sure it’s the same person who is stalking her, and they know how to avoid the guards and cameras.
Victoria called Billy (Jason Thompson) and he rushed over, even forgoing the elevator for the stairs. (How poetically apt would it be if the reason the elevator wasn’t coming was because some couple embargoed it to have sex, Billy and Phyllis style).
At the Newman ranch, Billy railed about finding “my daughter,” while Victor screamed back that he’ll find “my granddaughter.”
Maybe Katie is fine, maybe she just wandered off. Billy reminded her that he had another daughter who just wandered off… he can’t lose Katie the way he lost Delia!
As the adults tried to discern who Katie’s disappearance is really all about, they hear the little girl singing.
“She’s in the walls!” Billy realized. That’s The Twilight Zone homage. In that case, the child in question was stuck in another dimension.
Rosales Rows
Mia (Noemi Gonzalez) stomped her foot at Arturo (Jason Canela) for marrying Abby (Melissa Ordway), then lamented to Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) about her complicated love life. Phyllis was sympathetic.
Meanwhile, Lola (Sasha Calle) told Kyle (Michael Mealor) that Summer (Hunter King) wants him, and that she can give Kyle what Lola can’t.
Uhm, yeah, why is that again? Lola keeps wanting Kyle to tell her them not having sex is OK. And, he did so once again. So, why can’t she just enjoy their relationship?
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
