The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, October 15 features Ashley telling Jack why she plotted against him, as Nikki, Victoria, Phyllis, and Sharon put their heads together to deal with their blackmailer.
Christmas in October
Jack (Peter Bergman) threw Lauren (Tracey Bregman), Traci (Beth Maitland), Kyle (Michael Mealor), Abby (Melissa Ordway), Phyllis, and Andrew out of Ashley’s (Eileen Davidson) office so he could learn why his sister has made Jack think for months that he wasn’t an Abbott.
Much to Jack’s surprise, instead of begging for forgiveness, Ashley justified her actions: She was only doing to Jack what he did to her when he used the Blood Abbott clause to keep her from becoming CEO of Jabot, and when he and Victoria framed her for corporate espionage.
Oh, and not only did Ashley plan the idea of an affair in Dina’s (Marla Adams) mind and slip the incriminating footage into Charlie’s (Noah Alexander Gerry) movie, but she spilled that Kyle knew the secret for weeks without telling Jack – though he did tell Victor (Eric Braeden).
Jack ripped Ashley’s name tag off her door and flung her chair through the glass. She’s still CEO, though.
Home Front
Back home, Kyle fumed, Traci fretted, and Abby felt like she doesn’t know her mom anymore.
Payoff
After several thrilling minutes of watching Sharon (Sharon Case) do laundry, a phone call from Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) brought Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) together. They’ve each received a note asking for blackmail money.
Nikki wanted to get the guy arrested, while Phyllis wanted a face to face. Nikki said, “Oh, what the hell, let’s just pay.”
However, Phyllis pointed out that the notes don’t say anything about JT’s death, so they should sit tight. Nikki and Victoria reluctantly agreed.
