The Young and the Restless Recap: Couples Implode… And Explode!

The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, October 5 features the end of Sharon and Nick, and Billy and Phyllis… and the start of Billy and Summer?

Plus, Noah worried about Tessa hurting Mariah the way she hurt him.

Like Husband, Like Wife
Sharon (Sharon Case) forced Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) to confirm that she slept with Nick (Joshua Morrow), which prompted Billy (Jason Thompson) and Nick to nearly come to blows.

Meanwhile, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) worried that this will prompt Sharon and Phyllis to turn on each other… and out them. They’re such sweet, caring people.

At home, Nick begged Sharon for another chance, but she was totally over them hurting each other over and over. Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) screamed that they are always destroying their family and, for once, the little drama queen isn’t overreacting.

Nick packed a bag and moved out with Christian while telling Sharon he’s not giving up on them.

Like Mother, Like Daughter
Phyllis swore to Billy that she is there for him, but Billy wasn’t interested. He told Phyllis they’re over and walked out. So, basically, she had to keep forgiving Billy his screwups but one wrong move – and they were on a break! – and Phyllis is out.

Billy called Summer (Hunter King) and offered her the chance to finally have sex with him. What girl could turn down such a romantic offer? Let’s get those clothes off!

Like Brother, Like Sister
Noah (Robert Adamson) assured Mariah (Camryn Grimes) that he no longer loves Tessa (Cait Fairbanks), but she used him when they were together, and now Noah is afraid she’ll do the same to Mariah. Mariah insisted she’s happy and in love. Noah wished her the best.

Also, Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Arturo (Jason Canela) went dancing…
