The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, August 12, 2019 features Connor throwing a tantrum in classic Newman style, while Victor resolved to solve the Adam versus Nick conflict, Devon got an offer and Phyllis got a reality check.
I Am Newman, Hear Me Roar (Part #1)
Connor (Judah McKay) has such a great time hanging out with Adam (Mark Grossman) that he announced he wants to live with him full-time. Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) said no.
Adam threatened to take her to court — look what he’s doing to Nick (Joshua Morrow). Conner pouted, whined, and blamed Nick. Chelsea stressed and Nick wondered if she’s going to run again.
I Am Newman, Hear Me Roar (Part #2)
Nick didn’t exactly whine to Victor (Eric Braeden) about Adam telling Christian he’s his father, but he got his point across to the point where Victor assured his son he’ll take care of the problem.
He won’t tell Nick how, though. Victor said it’s so Nick has plausible deniability. But we knew it was really because Victor has to be in charge at all time. He made a call and ordered somebody to make something happen.
I Am Newman, Head Me Roar (Part #3)
Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) started by discussing opening a Society-branded lobby at The Grand Pheonix but ended with arguing about Summer (Hunter King) and who is a spoiled, over-the-hill debutante.
Phyllis didn’t like the lack of respect Abby is showing Summer — and Phyllis. Abby snarked that 99% of Genoa City didn’t respect Phyllis.
I Am Newman, Hear Me Roar (Part #4)
This was proven when Adam dropped by Devon’s (Bryton James) and offered him the chance to buy The Grand Phoenix. Devon thought Phyllis wanted to buy it. Adam didn’t care what Phyllis wants. He told Phyllis as much, even though Devon hadn’t bitten yet. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
