The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, January 21 promises heartbreak, betrayal and deep regret. Billy decided to break Lily’s heart by telling her about Cane and Victoria. Mia needled Abby about Arturo just as he and Rey mended fences, and Phyllis tried to scare Sharon into an alliance.
Blabbermouth Billy
Billy (Jason Thompson) visited Lily (Christel Khalil) in prison and after a half-hour of small talk, dropped the bombshell about catching Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) kissing. Lily was devastated but resolved to keep it together so she didn’t risk losing her will to survive.
Meanwhile, Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) begged Cane to promise that everything will be OK. Cane stopped by the prison and asked to see Lily, only to be told Billy Abbott beat him to it.
He Said, She Said
Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) and Arturo (Jason Canela) made amends and were happy to be brothers again. Mia (Noemi Gonzalez) saw Arturo giving Abby (Melissa Ordway) flowers and needled her about the night she and Arturo spent together fixing the boiler.
Abby put Mia in her place and complained to Arturo. He went over to yell at Mia, who insisted that he still wanted her, not Miss Fancy Pants. Arturo threatened to tell Rey about her shenanigans, but Mia taunted him by saying that he wouldn’t risk it. Rey came home and Mia suggested they renew their vows!
Strange Bedfellows
Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) warned Sharon (Sharon Case) that the Newmans were circling the wagons. They were bound to dump the blame for JT’s (Thad Luckinbill) murder on the two non-family members, and suggested she and Sharon come up with a way to protect themselves.
Sharon admitted that she doesn’t trust Victor (Eric Braeden), but she trusted Phyllis even less. Sharon also needled Phyllis about Nick keeping secrets from her. He wouldn’t have done that with Sharon….
