The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, October 26 features the end of the Abbotts as we know them, as Ashley and Jack refused to back down.

Plus Lily said goodbye to her family as she’s moved to a prison further away.

Non-Negotiable
Jack (Peter Bergman) refused to give into Ashley’s (Eileen Davidson) demand that she be named CEO of Jabot, and he convinced Billy (Jason Thompson), Abby (Melissa Ordway), Kyle (Michael Mealor), and Traci (Beth Maitland) to agree with him.

The family offered Ashley more money, as well as royalties on all her patents. Ashley pointed out the contract stipulates her getting all that anyway.

Ashley called everyone out on their previous bad deeds – which were all forgiven. She then told Jack that he is being selfish, willing to destroy Jabot just to keep Ashley from being CEO.

The siblings remembered their childhoods, and how Dina’s (Marla Adams) abandonment hurt them all.

Traci recalled that John asked Jack to look after his sisters, ignoring Jack’s pain, which kept him from being the carefree young man he deserved to be.

(He obviously got over all that by the time he hit his hardcore playboy years, which included bedding his stepmother, Jill, and cheating on new wife Patty on their wedding day. So, let’s assume Jack got to sow his wild oats, after all.)

Ashley was unmoved and announced she’s leaving town. And taking her patents with her.

Moving On
Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Devon (Bryton James) pulled all their rich people strings to keep Lily (Christel Khalil) from being transferred to a prison further away.

They failed, as a senator declined to interfere. Lily said goodbye to Mattie (Lexie Stevenson) and Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry), offered some canned platitudes, and kissed Cane before heading off bravely into her new non-contract player status.

The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
