The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, October 29 features Jack and Traci trying to talk Ashley out of her decision to leave town, while Sharon set boundaries with Rey, and Cane and Devon tried to improve Lily’s situation.
Viva La Ashley!
Ashley (Eileen Davidson) told her family her decision: She’s taking her Jabot patents and moving to Paris to start her own cosmetics company with them. She’s calling it My Beauty. Abby (Melissa Ordway) declined to come along, and Ashley understood.
Traci (Beth Maitland) told Ashley she thought she was making the wrong choice, then sobbed about how it’s all her fault.
Jack (Peter Bergman) begged Ashley’s forgiveness, admitting he was afraid of competing against her.
He also reminds her about all the Jabot employees who might lose their jobs because of her actions. Ashley sincerely thanked Jack for his apology but refused to change her mind. She took off to Paris and toasted Genoa City goodbye with champagne.
Border Talks
Sharon (Sharon Case) first snapped at Rey (Jordi Vilasuso), then apologized and said she just doesn’t want people getting the wrong idea about them. People like Nick (Joshua Morrow), Rey wondered? Yup, that would be exactly the people – person – Sharon meant.
So Far Away
Sharon also tried to help Devon (Bryton James) get Lily (Christel Khalil) transferred to a prison closer to home or maybe a halfway house but hit a wall. Devon assured Cane (Daniel Goddard) that his marriage and family will be able to survive this.
Because Devon is an expert on marriage now, having been wed for a handful of days to the most perfect woman who ever lived.
Cane, Mattie (Lexie Stevenson), and Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) hugged and made yet another vow to get through this. Baby Sam remained invisible.
