The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, August 24 features Phyllis confronting Summer – and both women getting more than they bargained for.
Plus, Arturo revealed a mysterious family connection, and Nikki tried to help Victoria, which Victoria really doesn’t appreciate.
Rocking Jaboat
Summer (Hunter King) tried to deny Phyllis’ (Gina Tognoni) accusation regarding her and Billy (Jason Thompson), but eventually taunted that Phyllis and Billy are over. Summer is a younger, better version of her mom.
Phyllis slapped her daughter, but Summer insists she can still get Billy – even without telling him about Phyllis cheating with Nick (Joshua Morrow). Summer stormed out the door, and Phyllis made a mysterious phone call.
Later, Summer gloated to Kyle (Michael Mealor) that she got a text from Billy, asking him to meet her on Jaboat. As Phyllis stared at the message she actually sent on her computer, and wished her Supergirl a nice cruise.
We Are Family
Rey (Jordi Vilasuso), the guy doing an arts and crafts project about JT and all the people involved in his disappearance, is naturally related to Arturo (Jason Canela), the only other Hispanic character in Genoa City (maybe they’re both the children of Miguel, Victor’s one-time butler).
Rey and Arturo are brothers, of course. And they hate each other, of course. The reason for their animosity is a deep dark secret. Of course….
Help Me, Nate
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) asked Nate (Brooks Darnell) to help Victoria (Amelia Heinle) with her stress. She didn’t tell him the whole story, and Nate reminded her that Victoria has already told him to get lost.
Victoria continued to stress when Paul (Doug Davidson) asked her more questions about JT. She then told Nate to get lost again, and Nikki to butt out.
