The death of Kristoff St. John shocked the entertainment industry on Monday, and The Young and the Restless, the soap he called home for nearly 30 years quickly made sure to remember the legendary actor, always.
While Neil appears in scenes as naturally as ever to support his son Devon (Bryton James) tomorrow during another career milestone, what you see at the end of the hour might make your heart stop.
The Young and the Restless was quick to edit in a beautiful ‘In Memoriam’ for the late actor after the news broke of his death.
St. John’s body was found late Sunday night after friends went to check on him. Although an autopsy has been performed, there is no public cause of death at the moment. The soap world has been mourning the loss ever since.
The actor, who began his career as a child, has been an integral part of YR since 1991, but was hospitalized in 2017 after allegedly threatening to take his own life. St. John’s son, Julian, killed himself in 2014.
The actor had not been seen on screen much of late as Neil moved out of town to be closer to his daughter, Lily, while she serves a prison term.
There is no word on when St. John’s last scenes in Genoa City will air.
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
