No coupling or love story lasts forever, at least not on soaps. The term “happily ever after” just wasn’t meant for the world of daytime drama. The Young and the Restless has certainly given viewers their share of break ups in recent months — think Phyllis and Jack, Dylan and Sharon, and Devon and Hillary – and the likelihood is there are more on the horizon.
Soap Hub asked fans of the CBS soap to weigh in on which duo appears to be doomed. Here’s what you had to say.
Colin and Jill
The couple most likely headed for splitsville is Colin (Tristan Rogers) and Jill, according to 55% of fans. While you believe Colin does actually love Jill, his shady business deals and penchant for using his wife’s money to bail himself out when things go south is more than Jill can handle. His latest stunt, depleting all her accounts, was the last straw. You expect Jill (Jess Walton) to kick him out of the Chancellor mansion and out of her life.

Cane and Lily
Although they’ve been happy for years and always find their way back to one another after times of trouble, 45% of you believe Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Lily (Christel Khalil) are headed for a split. You think Lily’s modeling career is destined to get in the way, as her work commitments take her focus off Cane and their family. Plus, you expect Cane to endure a mid-life crisis now that his days at Brash & Sassy are clearly over. The two turns are destined to wreak havoc on the twosome.
Michael and Lauren
True love rules, and you believe Michael (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren (Tracey Bregman) have got it. Remarkably, absolutely no Y&R fans voted for the duo to be the pair most likely to call it quits. In fact, you don’t see them ever drifting apart, again. In your book, they are lifers, and that’s exactly the way you like it.
