On The Young & the Restless, it would seem that Genoa City – or, at least Fenmore Department Stores – are still in the grips of the recession, and continuing to sink fast.
Desperate times call for desperate measures, so Lauren (Tracey Bregman) reached out to Chelsea with a partnership deal to merge their clothing lines. It should have been a win-win, but Chelsea said, “No, no.” What should Lauren do now?
Sweets For the (Not So) Sweet
After over 3,000 votes were tallied, 74% think Lauren should sweeten the deal for Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan). The question is: How?
Sure, she could try to kill her with kindness. But Chelsea isn’t exactly known for her good nature. Lauren might want to consider going back to her bad girl roots (if she pretends not to remember those days, she should ask Traci – odds are, she does) and try a little blackmail to bring Chelsea into the fold.
The Widow Newman still has a lot of skeletons in her closet. With the right incentive, Chelsea might begin to see the value of replacing them with Fenmore Originals.
On My Own
For 19% of viewers, Lauren doesn’t need Chelsea. She can save Fenmore on her own! Though, granted, if she had the ability, she probably would have done so by now, but maybe she just hasn’t been adequately motivated.
Losing everything has the miraculous ability to really focus a person.
Plenty More Fish In the Sea
Chelsea is hardly the only game in town, remind 7% of you! The Fenmore brand still means something (Lauren hasn’t run it completely into the ground yet). There has got to be plenty of other designers willing to partner up.
Wasn’t Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) a fashion something or other for a couple of minutes there? And Lauren can always look outside of Genoa City. Isn’t she friends with a bunch of those Forresters from Los Angeles?
