After the recent announcement that The Young and the Restless has cast parents for Neil (Kristoff St. John), speculation started as to why they are bringing them on the canvas now.
One theory was that something is wrong with Neil, and he could be sick. Soap Hub asked if you think Neil is going to die. The majority has spoken.
Long Live Neil
After 3,400 votes were tabulated, it appears that 77% of you believe there is no way that The Young and the Restless is killing off Neil. He’s been on the show way too long and is too connected to be going anywhere. The show still hasn’t recovered from losing Dru, so there’s no way they’ll make that mistake again. Besides, there is still more story to tell, more women to love and more problems for him to help the kids solve.
Casting Doubt
There is still a small amount of you, about 13%, who are a bit nervous about the casting of his parents. You fear the speculation may be correct, and that Neil will indeed be killed off. Perhaps you think that the actor may want to move on to new challenges. Whatever the reason, you’re anticipating the end is near for this beloved character. Would Genoa City ever be the same?

There are still 10% of you who aren’t sure or perhaps aren’t tuning in to the Winters’ saga. You’ve read the stories and you’ve analyzed the evidence and you’re finding it too close to call. That’s okay, because you’re enjoying The Young and the Restless and you’ll continue to watch either way.
