Where would soaps be without love triangles? For a short while, it looked like Reed on The Young and the Restless (YR) would be exempt.
His relationship with Zoey (Annalisa Cochrane) was going smoothly. The biggest thorn in Reed’s side was his mom, Victoria (Amelia Heinle).
She was being a total downer, wanting her son to study music rather than just play random chords on his guitar, get a driver’s license before zooming freely around Genoa City, and not make out with his girlfriend on the couch while his little brother and sister were upstairs.
But then Zoey’s friend Kendall (do we think she was named after the All My Children character?) popped up on the scene. She offered to hook Reed up with her music producer uncle.
She told Vicky she thought she was right, not letting Reed and Zoey drive to a concert in Madison after dark. Oh, and when she and Reed went to the movies, she kissed him.
Kendall (Caitlyn Myers) would appear to be a scheming, little vixen. Could she and Reed be Y&R’s next supercouple? Over 5,000 viewers played matchmaker.
Bring On the Bad Girl!
Everybody loves a bad girl. Even if they do tend to get de-fanged as they mature. Remember what a bitch Lauren (Tracey Bregman) was in high-school? Vicky was no angel, either.
Will Kendall follow in their footsteps? Maybe yes, maybe no, but 67% of you want to see what she comes up with — and what role Reed will play in her schemes.
Keep Out!
No way, counter 20%! Kendall is a schemer. She’s playing Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu), and that’s no way to kick off a relationship. Plus, Zoey is supposed to be her friend. Anyone who tries to steal her friend’s guy isn’t good girlfriend material.
Who Knows?
We really don’t know much about Kendall yet, which is why 13% of the audience is taking a wait-and-see approach. We don’t know much about Zoey, either, so it’s tough to pick the right girl for Reed… yet.
