Popular “Young and the Restless” alum Jessica Collins (Avery) won big this weekend at the Daytime Emmys, taking home the trophy for Outstanding Supporting Actress.
Collin’s Emmy win got fans hoping that she’ll one day make a return to Genoa City. As it turns out, this isn’t in the cards for Collins–at least not yet.
In her post-Emmy interview, Collins told the press that being a mom has trumped everything else in her life. “My mind is completely wrapped around motherhood at the moment,” Soap Central reported her as saying. “But I never say never to anything.”

Collins went on to explain that while a return may not be in her plans right now, she’d like to work again when her baby gets a little older. For right now, she he’s simply enjoying being a mommy.
“I’m so grateful I have this time to spend with her every day,” Collins said about her infant daughter, Jemma Kate.

While fans’ dreams may be crushed, Collins’ lifelong dream to becomea mother is in full swing. Jemma Kate was born just months ago on January 23rd.
Collins left Y&R last year after a four-year run on the soap. Her character, Avery Bailey Clark, became a popular fan favorite. With the current drama going on thanks to a dynamic and emotional baby snatching storyline, some fans hoped Avery would return with Dylan’s baby in tow so that Genoa City’s good guy could finally have a child of his own.
