The news is out that Greg Rikaart is being written off The Young and the Restless (YR) Genoa City’s hapless Kevin.
And, fans are sad to see him go. After all, Greg Rikaart has been playing Kevin since 2003. He’s a huge part of the Baldwin-Fisher clan, and, frankly, you can’t imagine the family without him.
His scenes with big brother Michael (Christian LeBlanc) and mother Gloria (Judith Chapman) have always been among your favorites. Soap Hub asked fans of the actor if you’d like to see him head over to another soap. Over 6,000 of you spoke out on the subject.
No, It’s Kevin or Bust
The bulk of fans, some 79%, do not want to see Greg Rikaart turn up anywhere else. It’s not that you don’t love the actor, it’s that you do and you’re holding out hope that he one day returns as Kevin.

If Rikaart were to sign a pact with another soap, that wouldn’t be possible. So you’re hoping that he sits tight, enjoys the time off, and waits for the Y&R brass to call and ask him back. The sooner, the better.

Meanwhile, 21% of want your Rikaart fix. If it can’t be as Kevin on Y&R, you’re hoping it’s as another fun character on The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of Our Lives or General Hospital. He’s a pro, who would be a worthy addition to any soap opera. You’re hoping one of the three show snaps him up – pronto!
