Who’s coming and who’s going from The Young and the Restless? Here’s the latest casting news from the CBS soap.
The week of September 5, 2016
It looks like the end of the line for two leading men. Number one is Justin Hartley, whose Adam looked to be the victim of an explosion on the show’s September 1 episode. The actor, who has joined the cast of NBC primetime series This Is Us, confirmed he has exited the soap.
Although unconfirmed by the show, it appears that Miles Gaston Villanueva, will soon be leaving the soap as Luca. The actor, who joined The Young and the Restless in August 2015, responded to fans’ comments about his pending exit on Twitter. “You’ll see me elsewhere. Believe me… Thanks 4 appreciating Luca,” he posted. No last air date is available yet.
The soap has issued a casting call for Dean, a Caucasian male in his mid-30s. Although from a wealthy background, the character is described as humble, honest, and ethical. The role is set to begin taping in September.
