The Young and the Restless

Who Is Bella’s Daddy on The Young and the Restless (YR)?

When The Young and the Restless (YR) viewers last saw Chloe, she’d stumbled in the middle of her wedding vows to Kevin (Greg Rikaart), admitted having killed Adam (Justin Hartley) to Chelsea (Melissa Claire Eagan), presumably clocked Chelsea on the head with a handy lamp, and disappeared. Runaway (homicidal) bride alert!

The Face On the Milk Carton
Uhm… Chloe, honey… forget something? Something wearing a flower-girl dress, toddler-shaped, goes by the name of Bella?

Yeah. Her. Your little girl. The one who gave you a reason to go on living after the death of your other daughter, Delia?

If you keep on driving, you won’t be seeing Bella for a good, long time.

Which, of course, brings up the question: Who will be taking care of her in the interim? Sure, there’s Esther (Kate Linder). But considering it takes two to tango, little Bella has a father out there somewhere, too.

Fans know that in Genoa City, actual sexual congress isn’t necessary to make a baby. Sperm apparently goes missing all the time. Look at Victor (Eric Braeden) and Abby (Melissa Ordway). Or Jack (Peter Bergman) and Kyle.

So let’s look at our list of paternal possibilities.

Round Up the Usual Suspects
Kevin felt an instant connection to Bella. And Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) had no qualms about letting him play Daddy. Could he be her actual, biological father? If that’s the case, why would Chloe keep it a secret?

What do you think? Post a comment!

Chloe once claimed that Cane (Daniel Goddard) was Delia’s father. Could she have decided to make her old lie a reality?

Billy (Jason Thompson) was actually the one who fathered Delia. Was a distraught Chloe attempting to replicate her dead child with a sister?

A returning Scott (Daniel Hall) has a secret. Could this be it? Or, conversely, could Chloe be the one keeping a secret from Scott? (Remember the wandering sperm of Genoa City?)

Victor helped Chloe with her scheme against Adam. Could she have helped herself to something more than that?

And finally, Adam… he killed Delia. In Chloe’s mind, did that mean Adam owed her a baby?

We won’t know unless Chloe comes back, so let’s hope that speeding car of hers from the promo for tomorrow pops a tire — soon!
