Ashelee Payne and Burgess Jenkins from The Young and the Restless
Former “Young and the Restless” star Burgess Jenkins sadly left the role of Billy behind in January so he could be by his wife’s side after she was diagnosed with cancer.
Ashlee Payne was diagnosed with breast cancer in November. Her brave battle humbled the family and put their lives into perspective. Travelling coast to coast became too much and all Jenkins could think about about was being with the love of his life as she battled this often-deadly disease.
After months of intense treatments and the support of her family, Payne is now cancer free! Burgess took to social media to announce the fabulous news and share their story.
“6 mos ago w[ith] grace, faith, humor & unending strength she put the gloves on & fought. Today she’s cancer free,” he posted, along with a picture of his gorgeous wife.

Jenkins played Billy from June 2014 until his departure in January.
